Vapour smoothing
Acetone vapour treatment that melts the layer lines away, leaving a glossy, injection-moulded-style surface. Best on ASA parts.
Materials
No spec sheets. Just what each material is good for, how it feels in the hand and what the finished part looks like.
Where we'd start
Typically we recommend PETG for most purposes — it's tough, heat-resistant and what most jobs want. If a part needs more strength or has to live outdoors, we also print carbon fibre reinforced materials (the Bambu-style CF blends) and ASA, which shrugs off UV and weather. Tell us what the part has to survive and we'll pick the right one.
Finishes & extras
Beyond the print itself, we can take a part further. Ask when you order — most of these are quoted by hand.
Spray painting
Primed and painted in your colour — matte or gloss. Ideal for display pieces, props and anything going in front of a camera.
Heat-set screw inserts
Brass threaded inserts melted in, so the part takes machine screws again and again without wearing out the plastic.
Silicone moulding
For small batches of a part, we can 3D print a master and cast silicone moulds. Something we do occasionally — worth a call.
